About Us
“I enjoy connecting people who have a common purpose ... then watching good things happen”
we strive to protect the affluent while serving authentic leaders and meaningful causes
Glenn Hallam, Founder
My parents are gone now, but I had an amazing experience caring for them — protecting them. Of course there were the normal risks of old age — falling, getting lost, car crashes, an overload of prescription medications. But because they were financially successful, my siblings and I were constantly on guard for a unique threat: people who acted authentic but just wanted money. Our gift to our parents was to surround them with individuals who cared.
I’m interested in true wealth. We all need care and connection, purpose and passion. We need to trust others and be trusted. Truth is, we need so much more than money could ever buy.
I came to Naples to care for my special needs son Gavin, who is a young adult. I’m also here to pursue solutions to climate change, in a city that is highly vulnerable to powerful hurricanes and rising seas.
But I also love it here. My family and I enjoy exploring the islands by yacht, listening to music, cooking, talking and experiencing the ever-changing sunset.
If you’re a non-profit leader in the Naples area, or a donor looking to help a cause, or if you just have suggestions for improving GiveNaples, let’s talk. I’d like to get to know you and explore how we can help you.
Glenn
Dr. Glenn Hallam spent 25 years in the executive development industry before shifting to a focus on startups, public health and climate change. A serial entrepreneur, Hallam is founder of Creative Metrics, Wahi Media, Red Movie House and Green Dock Ventures. He is now semi-retired and Chairman of the Board for the non-profit, Climate Unbound.
Glenn’s father was an educator and real estate investor in California. He loved cross-word puzzles, art, sports cars, boats, big band jazz, his five children and eleven grandchildren. Kirk died at age 95, just short of his 70th wedding anniversary.
Glenn’s mother, also an educator and investor, remained upbeat, organized, diplomatic and active until her death at age 93. She loved to read, watch football, and surround herself with her loud and lively family — laughing, listening to music and sharing stories.
True wealth: the joy of caring for people and causes that are in our heart
