We are happiest on the sea
— Glenn Hallam

We’re Glenn & JOanne

We know the challenge of wealth, having cared for affluent parents

Our parents are gone now, but we had an amazing experience caring for them. In addition to the normal risks of old age (falling, getting lost, car crashes, an overload of prescription medications), we were constantly on guard for a unique threat: people who acted authentic but just wanted money. Our gift to our parents in their final years was to try to surround them with individuals who cared.

We’re interested in true wealth. We all need care and connection, purpose and passion. We need to trust others and be trusted. Truth is, we need so much more than money could ever buy.

We came to Naples from California to care for Glenn’s special needs son, Gavin, who is now a young adult. While here, we fell in love with the sea, exploring the islands, listening to music, cooking, talking and enjoying the ever-changing sunset.

In our “retirement,” Glenn works part-time with executives and their teams, and he is Chairman of the Board for the non-profit Climate Unbound. Joanne focuses on caring for everyone in her orbit.

We receive no financial compensation from the non-profits or donors on this site. Our reward is the joy that we gain from making new friends while supporting worthy causes. If you’re a non-profit leader in the Naples area, or a donor looking to help a cause, or if you just have suggestions for improving GiveNaples, we’d love to get to know you.
